Ebisu and Odaiba, Japan

For Valentine’s Day we spent the weekend exploring Ebisu and Odaiba, as well as enjoying our first Michelin star experience at Joel Robuchon’s Chateau restaurant. The staff, service, and food were incredible – worth every star, no doubt. It is also one of those experiences that is difficult to put into words. It has to be seen first-hand to get the full experience, the way it was meant to be.

Ebisu and Odaiba were beautiful areas of Tokyo that I had not yet explored. Our hotel in Ebisu offered a wonderful view of Tokyo Tower. Odaiba is home to one of Japan’s Statue of Liberty replicas. This one in particular was to commemorate “The French Year in Japan” in 1998, but was kept past one year at the request of Japanese citizens. If you have ever been to Japan, you would understand their love of France and how it has influenced their culture so much.

This was by far one of the most beautiful weekends I have had in Tokyo. There is something so romantic about this city – it’s the perfect place to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
